Ex Jesus Vico sale 121, 2009, 257. This coin is sold with an export licence issued by the Republic of Italy.
This is the only example in private hands of RRC 353/1b, previously known only from the Cosa hoard specimen listed by RRC. It differs from 1a and 1c as the obverse ethnic combines both the C.F. and AP monogram. This coin is published in P. Debernardi: ‘Some Unlisted Varieties and Rare Dies in Roman Republican Coinage’, NC 2010, pp. 96. It is worth noting that all the specimens listed in Coins Archives as 353/1b are incorrectly catalogued and that this is the first time that this Crawford number appears in public auction.
