Charles I, Dominion of the Sea, 1630, silver medal by Nicholas Briot, obv., King’s bareheaded armoured bust right wearing a large ruff, cloak and Garter badge on neck riband, rev., NEC META MIHI QVI TERMINVS ORBI, ship under full sail leaving shoreline with fort, 49.42g, 58mm (M.I. I/256/40, Milford Haven 1919, 25; van Loon 227; Eimer 118, this piece illustrated), extremely fine and toned Provenance: Seaby’s Coin and Medal Bulletin, June 1977, no.
