Charles I, Tower mint, shilling, Group E, piece of Fine Work, m.m. bell, obv., crowned bust left, rev., oval garnished shield with Welsh plume above, 6.10g (Sharp E2/3; Brooker 491A, same reverse die and cf. 490, same obverse die; N. 2226; S. 2793), reverse double-struck, extremely fine and well toned Provenance: Rev. S.C.E. Neville Rolfe, Sotheby, 26 April 1882, lot 77 (part); H. Montagu (III), Sotheby, 16 November 1897, lot 356; B. Roth, Sotheby, 19 July 1917, lot 311.
