Kings of Macedon, Alexander III, the Great (336-323 BC), gold stater, Babylon, c. 323-317 BC, helmeted head of Athena right; M behind, rev., Nike standing left holding wreath and stylis; in field, ΛΥ, 8.60g (Price 3691), good extremely fine and well centred Ex European Ambassador Collection, formed in the 1950s and 1960s.
