S - H.M.S. “Penelope”); Khedive’s Sudan, 1882, unnamed as issued; Pair loose, toned, small erased area to naming of first, otherwise good very fine (2). Engineer’s Servant Thomas Curtice is confirmed on the Egypt and Sudan Medal Roll as having served aboard H.M.S. Penelope (clasp entitlement unconfirmed). The recipient appears to have deliberately removed or removed the ‘Svt’ from the naming on his Egypt Medal.
