*Charles I, Worcester or ‘Salopia’ mint (1643-44), shilling, crude, emaciated bust left, rev, shield with lion’s paw either side, CR above, 5.31g (N. 2616; S. 3111; Brooker -), probably clipped and on an irregular flan, about extremely fine but virtually as struck and very rare
