Description
Tulunid, Ahmad b. Tulun (254-270h), double dirham, al-Rafiqa 268h, obv., citing al-Mufawwad ‘ala-’llah, rev., citing Ahmad b. Tulun and Lu’lu’, 5.80g, toned, some staining in reverse margin, otherwise good very fine and apparently unpublished. Lu’lu’, who is also named on gold dinars struck in al-Rafiqa during this year (Grabar 11), was Ahmad b. Tulun’s lieutenant.
