Taft, 2: Yorks: Lt Inft), nearly extremely fine, and lustrous. Private W. Taft is confirmed in ‘The Boer War Casualty Roll 1899-1902’ by A. M. Palmer as having been slightly wounded at Ermelo-Amsterdam on the Blockhouse Line on 28 May 1902.
