Description

*Egypt & Sudan, 1882-89, undated reverse, single clasp, Suakin 1885 (T. H. Wraight.), impressed in late style capitals, an official late issue, good very fine, and scarce to a civilian servant. Thomas Henry Wraight served as civilian servant to an officer of the 3rd Grenadier Guards during the Egypt & Sudan Campaign. A note confirming this award was added to the roll on 27 May 1907, signed by the officer (appears to read ‘Robt Scott Kerr’ [confirmed as a Lieutenant in Egypt]), who later became Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion.
