*Indian Order of Merit, 1939-45 issue, 1st Class Reward of Gallantry, in silver, with gold and enamelled centre, reverse officially engraved 1st Class Order of Merit, a few light marks on points of lower libs of star, otherwise extremely fine and extremely rare. Most authorities state that only two First class awards were presented during this period, although it is possible that somewhat more were issued, however it is still an extremely rare award.
