Silver Quarter Rupee Coin of King George V of Calcutta Mint of 1911.
1911, King George V, Silver 1/4 Rupee, Calcutta Mint, no dot, (PR # 440/GK # 1080), graded & slabbed by NGC as AU 55, Extremely Rare.
On the coin, the King appeared wearing the chain of the Most Eminent Order of the Indian Empire. Because of poor engraving, the elephant looked very much like a pig, thus called pig-style elephant. The Muslim population was enraged and the image had to be quickly redesigned.
