Medieval Gujarat (700-800 AD), Copper Unit, unattributed ruler, Obv: figure of a 'Gandharva' (celestial human being) flying to right, Rev: trident in the center, Kutila legend around, retrograde reading "Shri Visha(la Raja?)", 1.28g, 12.26mm, about very fine, Very Rare. From the legend it is evident that this coin was issued by a king named 'Vishalaraja' or 'Visalaraja'. It is not certain to which dynasty he belonged, but at this time many small Rajput dynasties rose to prominence in Gujara.
