Kushan Dynasty, Vasudeva I (190-230 CE), Gold Dinar, "OESHO" (Shiva) type, Mint Balkh?, Obv: the king diademed and nimbate, standing facing left, sacrificing over an altar, holding a trident in his left hand while a ribboned trident surmounts the altar, the Bactrian legend “þAONANOþABA-ZOΔηO KOþANO” "Shaonanoshao Bazodeo Koshano” (King of Kings Vasudeva the Kushan) around the field, Rev: the deity Oesho (Shiva) standing facing forward, hair in a top-knot, holding a trident and a diadem, a bull (Nandi) standing behind, facing forward with its head in the left field, the Bactrian legend "OηþO" (OESHO) in the right field, a tamgha in the left field, a dotted border around the field, 7.84g, 20.02mm, (Gobl # 509/Variant of Jongward & Cribb # 1088), choice very fine, Very Rare.
