Vijayanagar Empire, Sangama Dynasty, Devaraya I (1406-1422 CE), Gold Varaha, Obv: the god Shiva seated in the padmasana posture with his consort Parvati resting on his left thigh, one of his left hands holds a battle axe and the other is around his consort's waist, one right-hand holds an antelope, while the other is in the abhayamudra gesture, the goddess has joined her hands in the anjalimudra gesture, Rev: Nagari legend "Sri Pra/tapa deva/raya" in three lines with interlinear rules, 3.33g, 10.78mm, (Mitch.
