Indo Greeks, Menander I (155-130 BC), Silver Drachma, Obv: a diademed bust of the king, facing the left, seen from behind, wearing a diadem, holding a spear with his upraised right hand, Greek legend "BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΣΩTHPOΣ / MENANΔPOY" “Basileos Soteros Menandrou” (…of king Menander, the Saviour) around the field, Rev: an upright Athena Alkidemos, facing right and seen from behind, holding a shield horizontally with her outstretched left arm and hurling a thunderbolt with her right hand, a Taxila monogram on the right field and the discontinuous Kharoshthi legend "Maharajasa tratarasa / menamdrasa" (Great King and Savior, Menander) around the field, 2.18g, 19mm, (Mitch.
