Akbar, Ujjain Dar-ul-Fath Mint, Silver Rupee, AH 979, Obv: The Kalima Shahada with a mintmark within a wavy square, the four Caliphs' names partly visible in the margins, Rev: Jalal ud-din Muhammad Akbar Badshah Ghazi, 979 Hijri year within a square & zarb Ujjain with the epithet 'Dar ul fath partially visible in the margins, 11.2g, 26.00mm, (Variant of KM # 80.21, the date is unlisted), choice very fine, few test marks, Very Rare.

Note: Very rare mint for the KM -80 series. In Krause & other major catalogues only coins with the Hijri year 978 are recorded from this mint. The Hijri year 979, as is engraved in this specimen, is hitherto unrecorded in this series.
