Gupta Dynasty, Kumaragupta I (Mahendraditya) (415-455 AD), Gold Dinar, "Archer" type, Without 'Ku', Obv: the king standing, nimbate, facing left, holding a longbow with his left hand and an arrow in his right, Garuda standard on the left field, Brahmi legend "(Paramarajadhiraja, Sri-Kumara)gupta", with the letter 'Gu' being above the king's right hand and 'Pta' above Garuda, Rev: the goddess Lakshmi, nimbate, facing forward and seated in padmasana on a lotus, holding a diadem in her right hand and a long-stemmed lotus in her left, Brahmi legend "Sri Mahendra" in the right field, tamgha on the upper-left field, 7.97g, 17.53mm, (Variant of Altekar, Bayana Hoard # Pl. X-7/TOTGE, S. Kumar # Class IV-Var. A.2), about extremely fine, Very Rare.
Note: In this variety obverse is not having Brahmi letter 'Ku' under the king's arm and the lotus in the goddess's hand is in full bloom making this an interesting specimen.
