Probus (276-282 AD) Antoninian, Serdica Very rare and desirable consular bust type RIGHT instead of left as usual  Sol was the favorite and most frequently depicted God of the Roman pantheon in Probus' coinage. There are numerous variants of reverses with Sol; however the depiction of Sol in quadriga (left or central/spread) remains undoubtedly an iconic, classis reverse for Probus . This reverse type was struck in Lugdunum, Rome, Ticinum, Siscia, Serdica and Kyzikos mints, with each mint having its unique style.  Obverse: IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG Radiate bust left in consular robe, holding eagle-tipped sceptre (scipio).
Reverse: SOLI INVICTO / KA•B• Sol in spread quadriga, holding globe and whip.
Bilon, diameter 22,1 mm, weight 3,22 g.  Bardzo rzadkie i poszukiwane popiersie konsularne w PRAWO zamiast w lewo jak zwykle.   Sol był ulubionym i najczęściej przedstawianym bogiem rzymskiego panteonu w mennictwie Probusa. Istnieje wiele wariantów rewersów z Sol (z różnymi legendami), jednak przedstawienie Sola w kwadrydze (w lewo lub na wprost) pozostaje ikonicznym, klasycznym wręcz rewersem dla mennictwa Probusa. Ten typ rewersu był wybijany w mennicach w Lugdunum, Rzymie, Ticinum, Siscia, Serdica i Kyzikos, przy czym każda mennica miała swój unikalny styl.    Awers: Popiersie cesarza w koronie promienistej i szacie konsularnej, w lewo, trzymające berło zwieńczone orłem (scipio), w otoku legenda IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG Rewers: Sol powożący kwadrygą, trzymająca bat, glob i unosząca dłoń w geście pozdrowienia, w odcinku KA•B•, w otoku legenda SOLI INVICTO Srebro bilonowe, średnica 22,1 mm, waga 3,22 g.
