Sigismund III Vasa, 3 groschen Vilnius 1597 - Koste - RARE One of the rarest Lithuanian 3 groschen of Sigismund III. Typologically, it is a continuation of the type minted a year earlier, with the date on the sides of the face value, with the Chalecki coat of arms and the mincer's mark 'lion pierced with a hook' at the bottom. While in 1596 it is a rare coin, in 1597 it is very rare (in Ivanauskas's catalogue with the highest level of rarity -RRRR-), as it is quickly replaced with a new type. The mark of Daniel Koste (the lessee of the mint) is replaced by the mark of the mint steward, Szymon Lidmann. Very nice condition. Jeden z najrzadszych trojaków litewskich Zygmunta III. Typologicznie jest on kontynuacją typu bitego rok wcześniej, z datą po bokach cyfry nominału, z herbem Chalecki i znakiem mincerskim 'lew przebity hakiem' u dołu. O ile w 1596 jest on monetą rzadką, to w 1597 należy do rzadkości (w katalogu Ivanauskasa z najwyższym stopniem -RRRR-), gdyż szybko jest zastępowany nowym typem. W miejsce znaku Daniela Koste (dzierżawcy mennicy), pojawia się znak kierownika mennicy Szymona Lidmanna.
