Description

Roman Empire - Herennia Etruscilla, Augusta (249-251 A.D). Silver Antoninianus. (4,16 g. 23 mm.) Minted in Rome, under Trajan Decius, A.D. 251.

HER ETRVSCILLA AVG, diademed and draped bust of Herennia Etruscilla right.

FECVNDITAS AVGG, Fecunditas standing facing, head left, extending hand over child standing right with hands raised, and holding cornucopiae.

RIC. 56 (S). Cohen 11 (C ). Scarce with AVGG not AVG on reverse: 11 specimens in Dorchester hoard.

Extremely fine condition. Wonderful portrait.
