Roman Empire - Claudius (41-54 A.D.) bronze quadrans (3.40 g. 19 mm.) minted in Lugdunum 41-42 AD.

TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP, laureate head right /

ROM ET AVG in exergue, front elevation of the Altar of Lugdunum, decorated with the corona civica between laurels, these being flanked by nude male figures; to left and right, Victories on columns, facing one another.

Fine condition. Brown-red patina. Extremely rare.
