Roman Republic - C. Marius C. f. Capito. Silver serrate denarius (3,54 g, 19 mm.). Minted in Rome, 81 B.C.
Bust of Ceres right, grain wreathed; symbol below chin; CAPIT• and numeral XXXXI as control mark.
Ploughman driving two oxen left; numeral (XXXXI) as control mark above; C•MARI•C•F over S•C in exergue.
Crawford 378/1c; Maria 9.
