Description

Swaziland Central Bank 20 Emalangeni Pick 16a ND 1986 serial number A229599 signatures B. S. Dlamini & H. B. B. Oliver, crisp GEF and Scarce circulation issue. Violet, brown and purple on multicolour underprint featuring a facing portrait of King Mswati III in his youth with native shield and spears to his left, the Parliament house (Mbabane) in the underprint, Swaziland's Coat of Arms at lower centre and what appears to be a Northern Nguni, Zulu and Swazi ceremonial battle axe at right on obverse. The reverse illustrating truck transporting lumber and cattle in field, along with illustrations of agricultural products as corn, cotton, pineapple plants and similar. Printed by Thomas De La Rue, London and watermarked with native shield and spears.
