Description

Halfpenny 1723 Peck 803 EF with traces of lustre, in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 70, currency copper coinage of George I is extremely hard to locate in top grade. This example unusually well struck on both sides and worthy of a place in the highest quality collection, the finest we have handled of this date, and the finest of just two examples thus far recorded by the LCGS Population Report. Ex-London Coins Auction A120 March 2008 Lot 1159 hammer price £900, Ex-Cheshire Collection NGC MS64 BN, Ex-Nicholson Collection 2003 (No. BN 197), Ex-Seaby 2/6/1982
