Ireland Specimen Set 1986 (7 coins) comprising 50 Pence, 20 Pence, 10 Pence, 5 Pence, 2 Pence, Penny and Half Penny UNC and fully lustrous, in the green and white folder of issue with the gold horse logo on the cover, the folder with a 4cm tear at the top, above 'Ireland'. Some tape residue inside the folder. The 50 Pence, 10 pence and Half Penny were only issued in these sets and were not issued for circulation. These sets were originally issued to promote the issue of the new Twenty Pence coin. We note a 1986 Half Penny was sold in London Coins Auction A160 in March 2018 (Lot 1140) described as 'Lustrous UNC with two tiny edge nicks visible under magnification' for £95 hammer price
