SERBIA. Stefan II Dragutin, as retired king, 1282-1316. AE (Copper, 21 mm, 1.57 g, 6 h), a contemporary imitation, circa 1300-1310. STEFAN - REX - STEFAN Stefan II standing facing on the left, holding akakia in his left hand and St. Stefan, nimbate, standing facing on the right, holding book of Gospels in his left hand; both holding, between them with their right hands, long banner. Rev. Christ, nimbate, seated facing on decorated throne and holding book of Gospels with both hands; in field to left and right, IC - XC. Cf. Jovanovic, p. 17, 1.1 (for prototype). Very rare as a copper imitation. Somewhat rough and with light scratches, otherwise, very fine.
