The Virgin Mary enthroned facing, nimbate, wearing pallium and maphorium, holding before her the nimbate head of the infant Christ; to her left and right, MP - OV. Rev. ICAAKIOC ΔЄC Isaac II standing facing on the left, wearing divitision and chlamys, holding cruciform scepter in his right hand and akakia in his left hand, crowned by the Archangel Michael, beardless and nimbate, standing facing on the right in military attire, holding jewelled scepter in his left hand; in field to lower right, X / OA / X / M. DOC 2a. SB 2002. A sharply struck and attractive example. Two minor flan cracks, light marks and with a graffito of Φ on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
