LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.89 g, 1 h). Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace; below chin, [ΔΩPI]. Rev. META Barley ear with leaf to left; above leaf, pitchfork; below leaf, ΔA. HN Italy 1582. Johnston Class C, 5.8. Minor areas of weakness, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
