CRETE. Gortyna. Circa 98/6-94 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 2.82 g, 12 h). Diademed head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΓΟΡΤΥΝ[Ι]-ΩΝ Naked warrior standing left, holding shield set on ground in his right hand and spear in his left; to upper left, A. Price, Gortyn, 47-79. Svoronos, Numismatique, 147. Beautifully toned. Some deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
