★ A beautifully toned tetradrachm of Patraos ★

KINGS OF PAEONIA. Patraos, circa 335-315 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 20 mm, 12.21 g, 6 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. [Π-OA]-P-TΑΥ (sic!) Paeonian horse­man, wearing crested helmet and full armor, galloping right and spea­ring fallen enemy. Paeonian Hoard 373. SNG ANS -. Beautifully toned. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die, otherwise, good very fine.
