Description
ISLAMIC, Persia (Pre-Seljuq). Samanids. 'Abd al-Malik I ibn Nuh, AH 343-350 / AD 954-961. Fals (Bronze, 23 mm, 1.91 g, 3 h), citing al-Malik al-Muwaffaq and Nasr on the obverse, Bukhara, AH 349 = AD 960/1. Album 1463N. Some scratches, otherwise, very fine.
This coin was struck in the name of the son of 'Abd al-Malik al-Muwaffaq, Nasr ibn al-Malik, who was viceroy of Bukhara.
