KINGS OF THRACE. Rhoemetalkes I and Pythodoris, circa 11 BC-AD 12. Diassarion (Bronze, 23 mm, 7.00 g, 6 h), with Augustus, but a contemporary imitation. IΛ•T•VΛO IIΛ•TΣΛΩ•VΘ (sic!) Jugate heads of Rhoemetalkes, diademed, and his queen Pythodoris, to right. Rev. [...]•Λ•T•ΛIO IIINΣΛ•T•mΘ (sic!) Bare head of Augustus to right. Cf. RPC I 1711 (for prototype). A curious contempory imitation of charming style, but with heavily blundered legends. Good very fine.
