Galba, 68-69. Denarius (Silver, 21 mm, 3.25 g, 7 h), Rome, circa July 68-January 69. IMP SER GALBA CAESAR AVG Laureate head of Galba to right. Rev. SALVS GEN HVMANI Salus standing left, her right foot set on globe, holding patera in her right hand and rudder in her left; before her to left, lighted and garlanded altar. BMC 41. Cohen 238. RIC 211. Lightly toned and with a particularly bold and vigorous portrait. Traces of double- or overstriking on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
