★ An extremely rare hekte from Phokaia with the head of Attis on the obverse ★
IONIA. Phokaia. Circa 478-387 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 10 mm, 2.56 g). Head of Attis to left, wearing Phrygian cap; behind, small seal downward. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Bodenstedt 64. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG von Aulock -. Extremely rare, one of a very few known examples. Minor die break on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
