★ A very sharp and attractive hekte from Mytilene ★
LESBOS. Mytilene. Circa 521-478 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 11 mm, 2.58 g, 5 h). Head of a roaring lion to right. Rev. Incuse head of a calf to left with rectangular punch behind. Bodenstedt 12. SNG von Aulock 1687. A very sharp and attractive coin. Good extremely fine.
From an American collection, formed in the early 2000s.
