Description

Diocletian, 284-305. Follis (Bronze, 29 mm, 8.45 g), Treveri, circa 296-297. IMP DIOCLETIANVS P F AVG Laureate head of Diocletian to right. Rev. GENIO POPV-LI ROMANI / [officina letter] / Γ / TR The Genius of the Roman people, nude but for chlamys, standing front, head to left, wearing kalathos and holding patera in his right hand and cornucopiae in his left. RIC 170a. Heavily double struck and the reverse corroded, otherwise, very fine.
