Marcus Aurelius, as Caesar, 139-161. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.69 g, 5 h), Rome, 148-149. AVRELIVS CAESAR AVG PII F Bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right. Rev. TR POT III COS II Providentia standing front, head to left, holding wand over globe in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left, leaning with her left arm on column. BMC 699. Cohen 628 corr. ('PII FIL' in error). RIC 446. An attractive example with a fine portrait. Struck on an irregular flan and with a flan crack, otherwise, virtually as struck.
