★ A rare diassarion of Vespasian from Iconium ★
LYCAONIA. Iconium. Vespasian, 69-79. Diassarion (Orichalcum, 24 mm, 9.52 g, 12 h). IMP CAESAR VESPASIAN AVG Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. COL IVL AVG / ICONI Priest plowing left with yoke of oxen. RPC II 1609 (2 examples). Rare and with attractive earthen highlights. Slightly rough, otherwise, good very fine.
