THRACE. Philippopolis. Caracalla, 198-217. Hexassarion (Bronze, 36 mm, 26.94 g, 1 h). ΑΥΤ Κ Μ ΑΥΡ CΕΥΗ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟC Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΚΟΙΝΟΝ ΘΡΑ ΑΛΕΧΑ ΕΝ / ΦΙΛΙΠ Agonistic urn, containing two palms and inscribed ΠYΘIA, set on table; below, amphora and five drawing pebbles. Varbanov 1393. A very well struck piece with a fine green patina. Good very fine.
