ATTICA. Athens. Circa 353-294 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 16.93 g, 7 h), a contemporary eastern imitation. Head of Athena to right, wrearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. AΘE Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. Cf. Svoronos 20 passim (for prototype). An interesting and attractive eastern imitation. Very fine.
