Description
SICILY. Gela. Circa 420-405 BC. Tetras or Trionkion (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.66 g, 7 h). ΓΕΛAΣ Bull standing left; in exergue, three pellets (mark of value). Rev. Horned head of young river god to right; behind, barley grain. Jenkins, Gela, 516. SNG ANS 114-117. Attractive green patina. Minor weakness on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
