CELTIC, Central Europe. Helvetii. Late 2nd to early first century BC. Scyphate Stater (Electrum, 24 mm, 6.86 g, 11 h). Celticized head of Apollo with curly hair to left; on the cheek, two pearls. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga to right; below, stylized triskeles running left; all within shallow circular incuse. Allen, SNR 53 (1974), 63. DT 3073. LT 8897. SLM 854-855. Rare. An attractive and unusually complete example. Very fine.
