D N VALENTIN-IANVS P F AVG Helmeted, pearl-diademed and cuirassed bust of Valentinian III facing, his head turned slightly to right, holding spear over his shoulder in his right hand and with a shield, decorated with a horseman spearing fallen foe, on his left shoulder. Rev. SALVS REI PVBLICAE S / CONOB Theodosius II and Valentinian III, nimbate and in consular robes, seated facing on double-throne, each holding mappa in his right hand and cruciform scepter in his left; above, star. Depeyrot 79/2. RIC 242. Sharply struck, lustrous and fresh. Slightly clipped and with minor doubling on the reverse, otherwise, virtually as struck.
