Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.37 g, 12 h), in the name and types of the Seleukid King Antiochos VII (138-129 BC), Mint A (Eusebia-Mazaka). Diademed head of Antiochos VII to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟY - EYEP-ΓETOY Athena standing front, head to left, holding Nike in her right hand and spear and shield, decorated with gorgoneion, with her left; in field to outer left, monogram above A; in field to inner left and right, O - Λ. HGC 7, 829. Lorber & Houghton Series 1, Issue 3, 121-51 (obverse die A6). SC 2148. A very attractive example with lovely iridescent toning and a splendid portrait. Tiny marks, otherwise, good extremely fine.
