CARIA. Knidos. Circa 449-411 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 6.12 g, 8 h). Forepart of a roaring lion to right. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to right, wearing taenia and with her hair falling down the back of her neck and tied at the end; all within incuse square. Cahn 90 (V43/R61). HN online 610. SNG Keckman 137 ( same dies ). Very well centered and with lovely iridescent toning, an attractive example of this very rare issue. Very minor die rust, otherwise, good very fine.
