★ A very rare 1/4 Stater of Philip II ★
KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. 1/4 Stater (Gold, 13 mm, 2.14 g, 9 h), Pella, struck under Antipater or Polyperchon, circa 323-318/7. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Bow above club to left; above, bee to right; below, A. Le Rider 131 (D86/R60). SNG ANS 237 ( same dies ). Very rare. Minor deposits and light marks and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
