KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Stater (Gold, 19 mm, 8.60 g, 12 h), Pella, struck under Philip II or Alexander III, 340/36-328. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Charioteer driving biga to right, holding goad in his right hand and reins in his left; below the horses, thunderbolt. Le Rider, Group II.1, - (-/R57, unlisted obverse die). Fresh, lustrous and struck on a broad flan. Minor marks and very light deposits on the obverse, otherwise, virtually as struck.
