Charioteer, holding kentron in his right hand and reins in his left, driving slow quadriga to right; above, Nike flying right to crown the horses with a wreath. Rev. ΣVRΑ-Κ-ΟΣΙ-ΟΝ Pearl-diademed head of Arethousa to right, her hair drawn up at the back, wearing plain necklace and pearl necklace; around, four dolphins swimming right; all within circular incuse. Boehringer 57 (V30/R28). De Luynes 1153 ( same dies ). HGC 2, 1306. McClean 2603 and pl. 89, 12 ( same dies ). Randazzo 240-1 ( same dies ). SNG ANS 13 ( same dies ). Beautifully toned and with a lovely head of Arethousa. Minor marks and the obverse struck from a somewhat worn die, otherwise, good very fine.
