SICILY. Segesta. Circa 475/70-455/50 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 8.60 g, 8 h). The river-god Krimisos, in the form of a hunting dog, standing right, on the scent. Rev. ΣECEΣTA 𐤆IBΕΜΙ Head of the nymph Aigeste to right, wearing hairband and with her hair bound up in a krobylos; all within shallow circular incuse. BMC 5 = ACGC 847 ( same dies ). HGC 2, 1114.
