SELEUKID KINGS. Antiochos I Soter, 281-261 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 17.11 g, 10 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris. Diademed head of Antiochos I to right. Rev. ΒAΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; in fields to outer left and right, monograms. ESM 177. SC 379.6c. Beautifully toned and with a bold and dramatic portrait struck in high relief. A few light marks and with very minor doubling on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
